Native coastal groundcover with edible leaves, used as spinach substitute by the early explorers of Australia and New Zealand. An easy plant, best grown in fertile free draining soil. See Tetragonia implexicoma for the other species commonly found in Tasmania, a useful groundcover for dune rehabilitation.
