Wonderfully exotic looking temperate plant from the Chatham Islands with large glossy leaves and blue flowers. Easily grown in woodland settings but needs good drainage.
My friend Paulette grew these from seed, and these are cutting raised plants from selected seedlings. Apparently the flowers are edible, I love the perfume and they flower forever with no fuss. Best in border or rock garden, rich pink flowers.

A recent introduction by us is this sedum from my mothers garden, with white flowers, which is an unusual colour in the world of sedums! Rarely but occasionally these can produce a pale pink sport, which should be removed with a sharp knife at the crown at the time of flowering.
