This variety is particularly good in autumn when the seedheads elongate and stand above the foliage. Another tall variety for behind the border, best cut down to ground level every few years.
This variety has huge, fringed orange-red blooms, which rival paeonies for show and splendour! Only a few, available July onwards.
An old cultivar we imported from the UK with good foliage and some farina on the leaves. Best in well drained conditions in a pot or the rock garden.
