Spreading species from Korea with large white bells speckled pink. Attractive glossy foliage.
We introduced this in 1996 from the UK, a lovely deep rich pink colour with single flowers on tall stems.
A delicate little species with distinctly different flowers from the usual dierama form. These are open bells like a campanula, deep pink in colour, and appear in mid to late summer.
Single white campanula; simple and beautiful, yet easily grown and long-lived. Like most campanulas, it dislikes excessive leaf litter on the crowns in winter.
A useful border allium, flowering in mid summer, producing tall stems topped with spherical heads, about the size of crab apples. These begin green, then as the season progresses, burgundy colouration gradually extends down until the balls are entirely coloured. Best planted closely as a clump for good effect.
The best red cultivar with a hint of black spotting in the centre of the flower. Tall erect flower stems. Avoid growing oriental poppies in pots, plant in ground directly. Available July onward.
A vigourous long lived variety for ground cover in shady areas. The new foliage often has attractive tinges of red veining, and the flowers are a creamy yellow. As with other varieties, best on well drained soil. Cold and drought hardy, wildlife resistant.
