Tradescantia 'Osprey'
White flowers with a slight infusion of blue, unusual colour like Campanula 'Chettle Charm.
Tradescantia 'Zwanenburg Blue'
Old fashioned cottage plant with intense blue flowers, easily grown but best in clay based soil.
Veronica gentianoides
Lovely pale blue flowers in spires over glossy foliage make this a popular cottage garden plant for sun or part shade. Best in clumps amongst roses, or salvias in a position that's not too hot with plenty of mulch.
Viola 'Lady Hume Campbell'
Parma type with sweet fragrance, soft lavender lilac double flowers, perfectly placed near a doorway or garden pathway where its subtle perfume can be appreciated.
Viola hederacea
Attractive evergreen ground cover for shade and moist soil, repeat flowers throughout the year.
Agastache aurantica 'Tango'
Firey brilliant orange flowers and pleasantly fragrant foliage. Useful amongst salvias and mid-height perennials in sun. Bird and butterfly attracting.

Aquilegia 'Crimson Star'
Aquilegia caerulea cultivar, long spurred coral red flowers with white centres.
Aquilegia 'Kristall'
Aquilegia caerulea cultivar, long spurred pure white flowers in spring. Aquilegias look lovely in mass plantings under trees in a woodland setting.
Chionochloa flavicans
One our favourite new grasses, waist high flowers with rich green foliage, creating good mounding fill and texture within summer perennial plantings. Grows best on heavier fertile soils, and responds well to moisture in summer if available, but not overly demanding.
Convallaria majalis
'Lily of the valley'. Clump forming and easy perennial for shade or part sun, sweetly fragrant bells in spring.
Delphinium 'Summer Skies'
Sky blue flowers, protect from wind in a walled garden or amongst shrubs or roses. As easy to grow as other varieties providing drainage is reasonable.
Diascia rigescens
One of the first plants I grew from cutting; quick growing and floriferous in a short space of time. In summer it requires complete cutting to the ground like an oriental poppy, and will resprout in autumn when there is sufficient moisture. Easy and quick to fill in spaces; pink flowers.
Dierama pulcherimmum 'Alba'
The beautiful white form of Dierama pulcherimmum. The white bells hang from slender arching stems that move gracefully in the breeze; a lovely subject for a pond or border.
Echinops 'Arctic Glow'
Tall spiky plant with silver spherical heads. Great for flower arrangements and texture in the summer border. Best with morning sun only and enough water during summer.
Euphorbia sikkimensis
Himalayan species, with attractive pink stems & foliage. The lime green flowers form an interesting contrast.
Iberis sempervirens
Early summer flowering perennial for border and rock garden, ideal with dianthus, scleranthus and other cushion forming plants. White flowers.
Lysimachia ephemerum
Compact non-invasive clumping perennial with tall white flowers and grey green foliage. Like other lysimachia, these prefer fertile moisture retentive, clay based soils.
Nepeta 'White cascade'
White form of 'Catmint', effective path edging plant or combined with lavender and santolina in the cottage garden. Low growing, ground covering. Trim off dead flowers to extend flowering period.
